Recession doesn’t have to be the end

The other big spending in a family’s budget goes for food. I was shocked to hear a news bulletin saying that most North American’s waste forty percent of all the food they buy. After my surprise was gone, I has to sadly admit that this number although astounding seamed pretty right for me. We all know of the trick to never go grocery browsing on an stomach empty because we tend to buy more which is right. I would add top this that by learning how to say no to my children to all the things they want to put in the cart I have overseen to cut down on my food expenses a lot.
Another considerable amount of money is spent on eating at the restaurant or ordering out. It can be at times hard to cook when you are juggling with one or two jobs trying to get ends meet. Most recipes can easily be doubled and then you can freeze half of it and have a meal ready when you need it. Another good way not to buy too much when grocery shopping is always to have a browsing list at hand. It is a proven fact that when we do not have a clear idea of what our weekly menu will be, we tend to buy too much and then consume too much food.
Recession is going to be here for awhile and the good part about this is that we may develop better eating habits and consume lees food and energy on the long run.
